Carla Morrow 1961 to 2025

On Sunday, September 7th, a beautiful soul left this earthly realm to reunite with her beloved brother Brett, father Carl, and mother Darlene. Carla’s time with us was anything but wasted—she touched the lives of thousands, both human and animal alike.

As a baker, she gifted us countless sugar and carb rushes, and her legendary Christmas baking became a cherished tradition. A final word of warning: those in Heaven may soon start gaining weight.

Beyond baking, Carla’s passions included quilting, collecting all things mushroom, karaoke, traveling, parties, fishing, cooking shows, crime and forensic dramas, picnics, family gatherings, and—above all—loving others.

She is lovingly remembered by her soulmate Wayne; her brothers, Brent and Brad; her sisters, Janice and Trish; her soul sister Nancy and Nancy’s husband, Mike; her sisters-in-law, Lori and Debbie; and her brother-in-law, Darcy.

Though she never had children of her own, Carla loved Matthew and Stephanie Reling as if they were. She also cherished the company of her nephews: Mathew, Jason, and Andrew.

In accordance with her wishes, Carla was cremated, and her ashes will be spread in the places she loved and near those she held dear.

A Celebration of Carla’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 12th at 2 PM at the Henderson Hwy Legion, located at 215 Maxwell King Drive in East St. Paul. Fittingly held on Thanksgiving weekend, it will be a time to gather, reflect, and give thanks for the joy Carla brought into our lives.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Cardiologist Surgeon Dr. Rabbe and the dedicated staff of the Cardiac Ward at the Asper Institute. Their heroic and compassionate efforts were aimed at giving Carla a repaired heart—one that might have gifted us all more precious time with this beautiful soul. Though that time was not meant to be, we remain forever thankful for their care and devotion.
